Install on Squarespace
Squarespace has a Code Injection area for custom code on every page.
Plan#
Squarespace's own help page (checked 2026-10-29) says Code Injection is available on the Core, Plus and Advanced plans and on some legacy billing plans. Plan names change, so check yours: verify.
Steps#
- Open the Code Injection panel. Squarespace says to find it from the project picker in your account, or under Pages, then Website Tools, then Code Injection. Menu names differ between versions: verify in your panel.
- Paste the tag from your ResilientLang install page into the Header box. Squarespace puts header code in the head of every page.
- Save, then open your live site. The editor is not the live site.
Limits that Squarespace documents#
- Checkout pages do not support custom code, so checkout stays in the original language. Squarespace gives the order confirmation and order status pages their own code fields, but the site-wide Header box is the only place this guide uses. Squarespace's page says nothing about the cart page: verify.
- Code cannot be added to the lock screen of a trial site.
- On version 7.0, Squarespace says Ajax page loading can stop CSS added through Code Injection from loading properly. It does not mention scripts. Test the switcher after you change pages: verify.
- Squarespace support does not help with custom code.
Other options#
The only official multilingual route we found is a third-party translation integration that Squarespace documents (version 7.1; version 7.0 needs manual setup). We found no built-in multilingual feature, but also no page that says there is none: verify. The script tag does not give separate language addresses. For search traffic, see SEO and the script tag.
Squarespace's Code Injection page does not say whether you can control the security policy header. Treat it as unavailable: verify. Whether Squarespace keeps data-* attributes on a pasted script tag is not stated. Check after publishing: verify.
