Webflow's help pages returned an access error (HTTP 403 or 404) to our checker on 2026-10-28 and again on 2026-10-29, so no step below is confirmed from a Webflow page. Everything below is OPEN until someone opens Webflow's help in a browser and checks it. Treat it as a starting point.
The dashboard does not show a Webflow guide until the steps are checked against Webflow's help.
What other guides agree on#
- Custom code needs a paid plan. A search summary of Webflow's help says head and body code is available on a Core, Growth, Agency or Freelancer Workspace, or on a site with an active Site plan. Plan names change: verify.
- Site-wide head code is under Site settings, then Custom code.
- Custom code runs only on the published site, not in the Designer.
- Webflow limits how much code each section holds. The numbers we saw disagree (20,000 or 50,000 characters): verify.
Steps (to verify)#
- Open Site settings, then Custom code, then Head code.
- Paste the tag from your ResilientLang install page and save.
- Publish the site to your domain.
Notes#
- Webflow Localization gives each language its own folder and hreflang tags, according to a search summary of Webflow's help. It needs a paid Site plan plus a paid Localization add-on, and ecommerce items are not localized: verify. It is better for search than the script tag. Use the script tag only if you do not buy it.
- Page-level custom code exists too. Use the site-wide setting so every page gets the loader.
- CMS content that is drawn after the page loads may appear late. The loader watches for changes. Test your pages.
For search traffic, read SEO and the script tag.
